Friends Group Activities

Monthly Tuesday Working Bees

On the fourth Tuesday of every month (except December) Friends of Warby Ovens National Park holds a working bee somewhere in the park.  In the past these have included control of woody weeds, path maintenance, work to upgrade the bush garden at Wenham’s Camp in the Warby Ranges.

All participants need to be members of the Friends Group (see the ‘Become a member section’ below) and to register on Park’s Victoria’s Park Connect website https://www.parkconnect.vic.gov.au.

Quarterly Weekend working bees

On a Sunday morning every quarter we plan to hold a working bee aimed more at involving members of the public.

Larger Events

Several times a year we organise larger events focussing on learning about an aspect of the National Park.  Or just having fun!  Examples have included a workshop on Grass Trees in the Warby Ranges and the impacts of Cinnamon Fungus on their health, and a bush dance.  Members of the public are welcome but must register.  To see information about coming events, go to our events page.
